Canon Mac Youth Travel Baseball

Canon Mac Blaze News

The second season of Canon Mac Youth Travel Baseball has been as successful as the first.  The CM Blaze travel arm of Canon Mac Youth Baseball Association fielded teams from ages 8U through 14U in 2016.  With this first season of the new community based travel program, our teams all trained and played hard.  The 2016 season teams produced a few noteworthy results.

Three teams participated in 2016 PONY Sanctioned Tournaments as representatives of the Canon Mac Baseball family:  9U, 12U, and 13U.  The 9U Blaze team won their Zone tournament in the Mustang 9 series. The 12U Blaze team won their Region and were two games away from advancing to the Bronco World Series.  The 13U Blaze team won their Section, Region, and were 1 game away from advancing to the Pony 13 World Series.

Both the CMYBA and CMYTBA Boards wish to congratulate ALL of our 2016 travel teams on their seasons.

Who we are:  CMYTBA is a premier, single-community travel baseball program for advanced players who live within the Canon McMillan School District.  CMYTBA is offered by, and is an extension of, the CMYBA recreational baseball program.  Based upon interest, we will offer teams ranging from the 8u level through the 16u level

Our Mission:  To provide eligible, advanced players access to more intensive skill development and a higher level of competition on an additive basis to the CMYBA in-house program.  Our goal will be to develop each player’s baseball knowledge and skill as well as their character, attitude, love of the game and sportsmanship.  We will achieve this goal through fair play, teamwork, and a level of competition that meets the needs of the children and their families

Our program:  CMYTBA players will be given professional instruction on the fundamentals, techniques, and sportsmanship of baseball.  Each team will play in a competitive, cross-community league as well as participate in several tournaments located both out-of-state and in the greater Pittsburgh area.  The teams will be together from September through June with the exception of the 12u team who will attend the Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament.
