Age Determination Date Change

PONY Baseball has voted to change the age determination date from April 30th to August 31st effective Spring 2018.  The CMYBA board has decided to start this change at the Shetland level(6 year olds and younger) and let it work its way up over the years.  Unfortunately, 14 year old players that will turn 15 before August 31st, 2018 will not be able to tryout for the PONY World Series Team, we cannot change anything that is PONY sanctioned but we are able to control the impact of this change within our organization.  All 14 year old players are permitted to play Pony level rec and Pony level travel baseball with CMYBA next season.  The 14s are only affected by the new age cut off when trying out for the Pony League World Series team.

2018 Spring Registration

Instructional and Shetland (4, 5 & 6 year olds)                              Age as of August 31st, 2018 (New Date)

Pinto, Mustang, Bronco and Pony levels (7-14 year olds)            Age as of April 30th, 2018 (Old Date)

2018 New USA Baseball Bats

CMYBA will keep our current bat rules for the 2018 seasons.  Players within CMYBA may use the new USA Baseball bats or the old bats that are within our current rules.  We would like to see how this new bat standard plays out for 2018 before requiring all of our families to purchase new bats.  This will be revisited for 2019.
